There are only three words to describe today.
Oh. My. God.
I asked this afternoon if there was a full moon tonight. There is. It's a blue moon, which is the second full moon of the month. And today, my work life reflected the craziness in the atmosphere.
First: we had a customer that ordered aspirin. 6 bottles. Well, when the order came through, bottles (BT) translated to each (EA). Well, you would think that the person pulling the order would realize that 6 EA = 6 BT, and pull 6 bottles to ship.
Wrong.
The customer received 6 aspirin, removed from a bottle and placed in a Ziploc bag.
I sincerely hope that the opened bottle of aspirin wasn't shipped to a customer. If it was, I hope that the customer had the sense to realize that the bottle had been opened and ship it back.
I was listening to a call later this afternoon. A customer had just received her order, and had opened it to put it up. She shared the reason for her call: she had received a box of picante sauce with her order.
Hold up, I thought. PICANTE SAUCE? Unless the FDA has just approved picante sauce as a cure for the cold, flu or cancer, it doesn't count as a medical supply. I hit the pause button, and swung the bar back a few seconds. Did I hear that right?
Yup. Picante sauce. Medium. A whole box full, in little 5oz packets.
Well, the CSR offered a return. Hold up again. As I mentioned before, picante sauce is not a medical supply. What is our warehouse going to do with a whole box? The CSR finished the return, and now I am totally and completely confused.
I'm still there. I can't talk to the customer til tomorrow, so I can't make sure that she got all of her order, not including the picante sauce. If she did, then she needs to call UPS to come pick up their misdelivery. If not, then she has to open the box to make sure it truly is picante sauce and not medical supplies.
So... more happened today, but nothing I can really share as of now. More tomorrow when I solve the mystery of the picante sauce.
I need an aspirin. Or some good Mexican food. I can't figure which.
