Well, I am finally getting out of training and into QA. And I couldn't be happier. My title, along with another persons, has been QA and Training. We've had two very large classes come through, and I've had to help with training. No more. The coworker is going to be solely training, and I get QA. I'm absolutely thrilled.

Now I can get to the business at hand: taking care of the call center.

What a day. It turns out that the BMOC is afraid of a bit of legality. We have to put the recording "This call will be monitored..." in the front of every call. It will add, what, three seconds? He's afraid it will be impersonal. No, hon. An IVR is impersonal, and I hate those things with a purple passion. But this? Nope.

I think he's confusing the recording with an IVR. *shrug*

If we can't get this system, we'll have to get more people in our group.

We are on schedule to get a QA recording system in place. I am so looking forward to this, because I'll be able to listen more than once to a call if I need to, and the reps have a chance to prove me wrong.

We found out today that some high ranking muckety-muck in our company doesn't see the need for it.

Excuse me?

We're still getting it, but come on. I'm only one person. I can't live monitor these people when it takes and hour and a half for some of them to get five calls. Plus, with live monitoring, our guys have no recourse. I want them to at least have a chance to do well.

I'm not worried, really, but this bit of news cheesed me off. (sigh)

Well, I'm free for a few days to spend time with my family. My job is cool, but it sure is nice to be away. This week has been really easy. I've had to QA some of our best people, and that always makes me smile.

I'm trying to talk some people into doing a QA calibration so we can all make sure we are looking at the same things, and that all QA is done equally and fairly. Our reps deserve no less.
